Zary/Byfield/Pelletier was on for the last shift of the game.

No, but with him being an extra forward, and him not being used on really on the PP and PK combined with who the coach appears to want playing together he’s been juggled around quite a bit.
I think he had a solid showing though considering his limited ice time

I wonder what the Flames do with Pelletier this year. Do they send him back to the Q and risk him not playing for most of the year or does he find his way on the big club?

I think he will be in camp, which means that he could make the team.

Yeah there is no reason not to bring him to Calgary after the tourney and run him through TC. If he shows well, give him a couple games and then re-evaluate. There is no where for him to play until late January at the earliest so you may as well give him a taste of the NHL life and see what he does with it.

Most players have to probably come to Calgary anyways on the way home and connect, unless they are going to Slave Lake, Nunavut or Yellowknife, which is where the bushplane airport in Edmonton services, so he may as well stop in.

I'd love to see a 3rd line of Pelletier, Bennett and Dube

I think a problem is that the NHL protocol dictates that anyone coming off a commercial flight needs to spend at least 7 days in quarantine before joining a team.
So for many of the players it would be a problem. HOWEVER, since Edmonton is driving distance to Calgary it might not be a problem for the Flames prospects but not completely sure what

Wow, leave it to Oiler butt plug Rishaug to rudely cut Kuznetsov off to end the intermission interview. 2 seconds to answer a question before cutting Yan off mid sentence.
Doosh canoe.

I love watching the kids from non-traditional hockey countries play at the WJC. I wonder if the tournament would be better served if they were able to replace one team with “Team World” where they pick the best players from countries that didn’t qualify to make the WJC.
There would be logistical challenges (language and travel etc) but it would be great exposure for up and coming players from countries like Slovenia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, and Austria and could be an opportunity to improve the quality of the hockey.

It seems like a good chunk of the Canadian World Junior team is from Alberta/Saskatchewan, not bad.
Alberta:5
Saskatchewan: 3
Quebec: 2
Quebec needs to pick it up.
