When the best countries play each other, it’s definitely some of the most exciting hockey there is.

Meh. It's the first game in a two week tournament that ultimately means nothing. I have enjoyed a lot of what I have seen from them.

Oof. This is awful now. Germany isn't even matching Canada's effort, let alone talent.
And the goaltending leaves rather a lot to be desired. Hard to feel confident when your keepers are letting in 40% of the shots.

I don't understand the love for Jack Quinn, Byfield or Perfetti. What am I missing?

I just turned the game on, and haven't really noticed either of them. That being said, Pelletier was in front of the net on that last goal

It's because our prospects have class. Imagine running up the score on a depleted team Germany on a back to back.
Shame.

I have a draft coming up and have one of the top picks and was just assuming I'd take Byfield. But he's invisible to me. I get he's young, big, a center....there's a lot of potential there but so far he's been very 'meh'. I think I'd take Stutzle before Byfield now.

Pelletier seems to be in front a lot. Not afraid to go to the dirty areas and that doesn't always show up on the scoresheet.

only CP could find negatives in a game like this
Zary has played 3 shifts, half the goals or more are gifts and few unassisted
Both flames prospects have played well when out there...its pretty hard to judge one way or the other in this game

Let's be real, a big goal in a Russia or US matchup beats 5 points against round robin fodder.
That is when the diamonds will be sifted from the rubble.

In fairness to Pelletier, he is playing with Byfield and Quinn. None of them have been very good.
And Zary has missed time.
But yeah, 0 points in an 11 goal game through 40 minutes isn’t awesome.

The comments here are hilarious.
You can’t judge anyone in a game like this really except maybe the German goalie.
Germany is playing their second game in 2 days and have only been able to dress 9 forwards and 5 dmen.
Canada is blowing them out and the goalie they are shooting on is likely having the worst game of his life.

Zary and Pelletier are more the types of tight game players. Wouldn't shock me in the least to see those two bubble up to the when its crunch time.

Okay...12-1 now. How about we give some other players power play time now.
