How does Kucherov not get another penalty there...and then Goodrow has to take the ass kicking because of it

That fire late when losing a game is the type of energy the Darryl Sutter Flames used to bring in that 04 season. (LA cup winning teams were great at it too).
Might lose but we are doing to take our chunk of skin.
Bit dirty but it can be effective.

Think that had more to do with them getting revenge for the hit on Nelson from game 2 once they knew game 3 was locked down.

Late in on the Point discussion. He was so small in Jr it wasn't at all surprising where he went in the draft. I am pretty sure I've seen every game he played in MJ and he was a treat to watch. The way he could wheel with the puck, and keep it on his stick with guys draped all over him was awesome. It was no guarantee he could do the same against men in the NHL. He had the work ethic though, and in his first few years went in to camp working for his spot on the team, not taking anything for granted, and it shows.

That Pat Maroon is alright. Man, I could think of a team that could use a player like him.

To me it's the puck management. Holding it too long, circling back into his own zone inviting pressure, poor passes into traffic forcing plays that aren't there.
You hear the phrase he should use his teammates better. This definitely applies

Posting in here to avoid making it look like criticizing Treliving, but the Athletic had an article about how Julien Brisebois went after Goodrow and Coleman this year.
Great article.

What? He's the only one that actually generates anything for the Isles. If there is someone you should criticize its Lee. Hes the captain and hardly does anything out there offensively.

Eye of the beholder I suppose. Also disliking Eberle's play.

Definitely gives a good insider look at the GM game. Some good quotes in there about needing to tune out the fan and media noise.
I sure hope Treliving is as astute at analyzing what the Flames need as Brisbois was with the Bolts. Also hope he has no problem tuning out the noise. I don't think the answers are on Calgary Puck, lol.

Seems every draft has a star player on a crappy team that gets ignored, If he was even 1 inch taller he probably goes in the 1st round

The answers also haven't been in this team's GM office. Not for the past 30 years, anyway...

I only had the pleasure of seeing him live in jr a few times and one being in the showcase jr game here in calgary. what really caught my eye was how it seemed every time the ice was about to clsoe on him, he had the ability to side step trouble by using some lateral movement.
I would also assume his draft position was hurt a little bit by the fact that for most of points career the Warriors struggled to make the playoffs
