He has been completely useless offensively this year and that might be it for him. People complain about Johnny and Mony not having it.... Gio has been an offensive and offensive black hole
Defensively he has been average to above average but I can't trust Ward to NOT put him out in offensive situations.

It will be interesting to see if any of the press go hard at Tre asking why he was neither a buyer or a seller at the deadline (assuming we don't make any moves of course). Surely you are either one or the other? I know his MO is usually to do nothing now and more in the off season but with the prices being paid you have to think long term as well as now.

We haven’t made any moves in a year, why start now?

Man, the complaining is ridiculous. IMO trading because you "have to do SOMETHING" is how you make a bad trade. Especially when none of us know the situation with any of the three injured D.

Two years of not doing anything to improve the team is pretty hard to sell when your team got embarrassed in the playoffs after falling apart down the stretch, and then stinking the joint up to start the season.
I think being critical of Tree is fair at this stage, and I'm a fan of his. That said, anyone who thinks the Flames should have been in on Pageau or anything like that - yeah, don't agree with that. No rentals.

I think the Hamonic and Gio injuries really screwed things. I bet Brodie or Hamonic would have been moved by now, but now we need Brodie more than ever, and who would trade for an injured Hamonic?
