What about Stajan as an assistant coach? I remember people saying they wanted him to stay in the org in some capacity, as he seemed to be universally loved

I was hoping for Sutter last time and I still think he’d be an excellent coach for this team.
This scandal might actually be a blessing in disguise.
I think Ward would be a good choice as well.

Geoff Ward's powerplays in NJ were excellent. I suspect the current troubles the Flames have with the powerplay is beyond a coaching issue.

Stajan on the bench would be interesting. Not sure if the team wants to experiment with people new to the position given the season they're having though.

I think Ward gets the interim tag and Gelinas comes back down to the bench

We should have hired that old coach from Chicago when we had the chance, I heard he's doing pretty good with his new team

Bring in the former player with no coaching experience to coach a team at the highest level? Yeah, that sounds like a great idea.

Queneville? When did the Flames ever have the chance to hire him?

Careful. Not any Sutter will work. We've tried that here.

Well, he did coach the team to their best finish in over twenty years last year. Bill Peters obviously possesses at least some attributes which would make him good at his job.

Glen Gulutzan

He has former head coaching experience and is currently the main reason Edmonton is leading the division. He has been rightfully credited with Connor McDavid's breakout seasons.

I really want to see Darryl back, to the point that I don't much care if it's actually a good idea

Too bad things didn't line up to get Quenneville here. Timing is a tricky thing. The flames have a very similar make up to a young Blackhawks team with the make up of its core.
