To be fair, the Flames always get gift match ups too.
Difference is the Flames still find a way to lose every opener.

Ovechkin off and running with a goal tonight. I wonder if Vegas has odds on him beating Gretzky's record. I’d almost be willing to make that bet.

They mentioned before the game that Ottawa has beaten the Leafs to start the season the last 4 times.

Not their first game of the season, their first meeting of the season.
Last year the Leafs beat Montreal in OT and the year prior they put a beating on Winnipeg

You lost me.
Yeah the Leafs start the season playing 4 games in 6 nights. Is that considered an advantage to you?

McSweatpants look pretty dominant in the warm up. Put at least 2 in while I was watching.

I really haven't paid attention to the Oilers and I'm a little surprised to see Neal starting with McDavid. I wonder how long this will last.

Burkie talking about Nygard: he has plenty of speed, and you need speed to play with McDavid.
Then he proceeds to discuss McDavid's other winger tonight, James Neal.

Hopefully Neal scores 1 in a 4-1 loss tonight and it cements his place on the top line for the season.

Wait... do we post in here for the game, or in the E=NG thread, or in the V=NG thread? I'm feeling spoiled for choice.
