Guys, until we hear confirmation otherwise, can we assume Frolik wasn’t the one who wanted to moan publicly about his ice time? Letting the emotions of his stupid agents actions cloud perception of him isn’t fair. I think he’s the exact kind of player winning teams need to have around (see Blackhawks).

Regardless, holy hell Flames are great.

What’s with the Frolik angst? I only caught bits and pieces until the third — was he benched earlier in the game?

I could see Peters going back to 3M on Wednesday against Colorado’s top line.

If we hit any injuries, Frolik becomes that much more important. He's a member of this team, and a valuable one at that, and I appreciate his efforts. He's a terrific soldier to have on this roster.

Czarnik's was much better. This was a kind of end to end game though, and that suits him. A heavier, more cycling game is different.

+1 when they put him in with 2 min. left on the PK to save the game it hit home just how big a presence this guy is.

After tonight's game we only need to play .500 (points %) to get to 96 points. I watched my first Flames game in 95 (game 7 vs San Jose). I can honestly say that as a Flames fan I have never experienced the relief of not constantly having to track the wild card percentages to get in and hopping the point bar is low this season so that we have a good shot of making it....

Crazy feeling I must say. I am starting to believe there is something here...

Game Takes:
Flames 4 Hawks 3

- Lazy middle period turns with dominant third
- Gaudreau show again
- Rittich gets beat short side on two iffy goals

Still, a snake update would look nice.

He for sure is far better than Neal at this point.

Feels great to have a successful ending to a trip like that and then realize the boys now play 5 in a row at home. Would love to see them lay the hammer down on this next home stand and really rack up some points. The fun successful season continues............

Teams have books on all goalies, that's what scout do. Those shots are quite difficult to make consistently.

Neal is just snake bitten. Played well tonight, got in the right areas but can’t score.

Czarnik really turning a corner here.

I dont want to lose Frolik. I think we need him in the playoffs.

Gaudreau four goals back of Ovechkin in the Rocket Richard race. Wait, what?

Brodie was on the ice for 34 shot attempts for. I've never seen that before. Maybe it's common, I don't look every have or at other teams' games, but that's nuts.

I see people talking about Rittich and how the Hawks maybe have discovered a weakness in his game. I hate to break it to you all but perfectly placed shots in the top corner of the net is the book on every goalie in the league.
