You are the only poster on this board that can actively make me want to cheer against my own team.

Every single post about that play I said he should have had it. It doesn’t mean that the other skaters didn’t play badly on that shift as well. They have it away at least twice. It’s not one thing or the other. Or are you thinking the Flames are playing well except for Smith? They aren’t.

This effort looks a lot like the Dallas game.

Flames already on their Christmas break.
Hopefully they turn in about 15 minutes of work. Should be enough to beat the Blues.

Rittich has done a great job of keeping the flames in games early when they get off to slow starts. Smith cannot be any more of an opposite. Like others have said the team has no confidence playing behind him. He’s pure garbage, probably worse than Hiller right now.

so you don't like the word 'roll' then?
Rittich has been playing excellent hockey, he can only stop the puck...its up to the team to get him goal support

No, wasn't about his play in general. You specifically mentioned his handling of the puck, which is a core part of his style. I was poking fun at all the talk about Sigalet trying to change our goalies' styles.

I watched them. I thought he was fine in both games. He was outgoaktended in the second game and his team let him down in the first. I just don’t call two losses “on a roll”, that’s all.

What does that have to do with the play of the skaters on that shift?

Will probably have to double the Blues in shots to win given how Smith is playing.
