Bennett showed his grit and tenacity , as much as it hurts me to say Nurse is a tough fight and Bennett stood up and made us proud.

The Hamonic Hanifin pair was great tonight. 2 assists a piece, Hamonic rock solid again.

This win makes me so happy!

Absolute domination by the Flames once they started playing their game and ignoring the Oilers' dumb shenanigans. Such a great response form the entire team in the 3rd. These guys are all heart.

And what more can you say about Rittich. Dude was outstanding tonight and has fully earned another start on Monday, and hopefully a few more if the team can get on a roll.

They played much worse in at least 2 games I can think of. In Montreal and home against Pittsburgh.

Really, the first period was good except for their two or three blue line turnovers. The second wasn't good. But not as bad as either of the two games I mentioned.

When the going gets tough, the McDavid errr "Folds his cards and does nothing but stare blankly and longingly at the bench"

While I can certainly appreciate the effort and rewards of the third period effort, if the Flames could do that for a full 60, I'd be even happier.

However, a win over the Coilers is always fantastic, so awesome game!

If Smith was in net, we would have lost this 9-3

Would be nice if they would just enjoy the game.

Thank you Rittich.

Great games from Lindholm, Tkachuk, Hanifin, Ryan and Frolik.

I definitely overreacted after McDavid's goal in the 1st, I just hate the Oilers so godamn much and seeing the Flames dogging so hard against them was just too much to take. Thankfully I caught the 3rd after cooling off a bit to see the comeback, it's amazing how much my mood has improved from 90 minutes ago

First star is easily Rittich, the Flames do not win this game if Smith is in net, simple as that. Keeping the team in it when they were playing like crap and stoning the Oilers on 3 seperate breakaways should cement his place as the undisputed #1. I'd like to see Smith sitting on the bench from here on out and acting as a 2nd coach for Rittich, at least then he could be useful

Far from a perfect game but so many positives. Rittich and Lindholm are the obvious heroes but Bennett, Ryan, and Brodie had great games. Big comeback with Johnny having little to do with it and far from his best. All the pieces are coming together. Very optimistic after this one...as long as we don't keep starting Smith because we like him and Rittich didn't go all-world as a starter last season. Burke's twisted logic on that one makes me happy he's no longer with the organization.

McDavid was practically invisible tonight. Very happy about that as well.
