Predicting a 3rd monkey off of Sam Bennett's back. Tkachuk with assists on all of the goals.

I believe you're correct.
I rarely hear the term anymore but I always thought most people considered it on the same level as calling someone a newfie.
If the N word is a 10, I'd think calling someone a frog would be a 1. like calling an Englishman a roundhead.

As the OP to this, I’ll cop to apparently thinking it’s way worse of a word than it actually apparently is. Apologies to the thread!

In my defense, I’ve long thought it was really offensive based almost entirely on a plot point from a book that is going to date me horribly, being Scott Young’s hockey classic Scrubs on Skates. https://www.amazon.ca/Scrubs-Skates-.../dp/0771090889 Rosy the French Canadian kid lost his mind over being called a frog and equated it to being called a chink and that always stuck with me. Haha. Oh well.

Dube - Jankowski - Czarnik (Young, Skilled 4th line)
I like these lines and the play to each player's strength and playing style.

It also has at least one defensively-aware player on the top 3 lines.

I think Neal has shown chemistry with Bennett and stabilizing the players would help them get going.

In my opinion, aside from the first line there jas a bit too much juggling where players don't play together enough to develop chemistry. It's okay to mix them up, but at least keep them together for 3-4 games. I don't mind the in-game juggling (because it's adapting to the game), but if Peters is starting the game with a new line combo, give it a chance to stick.

Nope. Those blue dots are unsold tickets. The Pink dots are the resale tickets. The Flames sent out an email to season ticket holders two days ago announcing that they were releasing a bunch of tickets. I would assume these were held for Habs players or promo tickets that didn't get used. Regardless, those blue dots are going to be empty seats if no one buys them.

You're not wrong. Frog is in reference to french people eating frogs which many people consider weird or gross. It's meant to be offensive and you can imagine how other races/cultures would take it if you made fun of what they ate... I won't give examples.

That being said, I don't think anyone meant anything by it and we can all move on.

Got a good feeling about tonight — especially with the retros.

4-2 Flames (Patterson, McDonald, Gilmour x2)

Unless Bennett is going to be tried at center again this is the most ideal top 9.

Hopefully they are kept together for a while and develop chemistry.

I think with time Bennett/Tkachuk and Czarnik/Neal could prove to be good pairings.

Time to destroy this Montreal team. Second scoring will outscore the first line. GO FLAMES GO!
