Bennett did as well as I'd hope for someone having to cover Sid. Forced him to the perimeter and a very sharp angle shot.

You are supposed to do this while covering the puck carrier, if you can't take the puck away outright. Force the outside shots. Trust your goalie to make the routine saves.

That goal is definitely 100% on Smith. I am reminded of the game where he did this while on AZ and none other than Matthew Tkachuk ties the game by bouncing it in off his head from a bad angle.

Way to go Edmonton. You just had to wake up Crosby with the Crosby vs McDavid BS and piss him off. You couldn’t just keep your “everyone look at me” mouths shut and let him keep sleeping off the first half season like usual.

Good lord! 8 minutes in and some of you are trashing the team. I guess we should just shoot all of them.

Bad goal is not a reflection of the rest of the team's play. They look fine.

Pretty sure the garbage is being thrown in one direction, and it's well deserved.

I don't know what everyone is talking about. Bennett hustled back faster than any Flame I've seen thus far. Barely got to Sid before the shot, and did manage to cut the shooting lane down. Couldn't really do much more, considering how far he travelled to get there.

Czarnik has speed but he really needs to go to the net.

CGY needs some traffic on their shots or get better rush chances or both!

Played it about as well as he could have considering it was against the best player in the world.

My last comment on the play.

Sam had an opportunity to block his path to the net but instead chose to chase his backside. That was a checking angle error.

How do you only miss one game with a second concussion in a calendar year?

Probably because he’s not used to using two wrists when he shoots.

jesus buddy. The best player in the world scored from the red line 20 feet out on a backhand.

Let it go.
