You're not alone sir. I was always a fan of his back in the 2013 draft and hoped that he would end up a Flame at some point.
and here he is! I'm hyped for the season. I think he will be a really important part of the team for long time. Really skilled and reliable in all 3 zones.

Just thinking back in the 2013 draft and we were debating who we should draft, Monahan or Lindholm. Fast forward to now, we got them both. How amazing that is?

Looking at the clip of Neal’s goal, was it cheeky or lucky?

- That second PP unit has no idea how to enter the zone. Ryan short chipping it to Czar while Neal looks lost is not going to cut it

It baffles me a little bit how they are utilizing Neal, especially on the PP.
At this point in his career he's essentially a slow one dimensional elite shooting winger. He's not the guy who will be relied on to start or carry the play (ie. entering the zone), he's the guy who his team mates find to shoot the puck.
Throw him on the RW dots on the PP and have guys just feed him. As far as I can tell, there are only 2 guys on the team (Neal and Gio) who are legitimate one time threats from beyond the dots. We should play to his strengths, not weaknesses.
Also noticeably, it doesn't look like he's been shooting a lot this preseason. Hopefully he picks that up once the season starts.

Both. Jones should of had it . It was pretty weak. Go a few pages ahead and you will find it

Lindholm has caused neutral zone turnovers that lead to goals in every game I've watched this preseason. We got ourselves a player here. Seems to compliment the top line quite well.

Yeah, he might be alright.

From Sharks HFboards.

Was it just me or did it seem like the Flames were playing this game as if it was game 7 of the division finals. I think with all the rumblings of the Sharks being one of the favorites to win the pacific that the Flames wanted to send a message that they are not to be overlooked and could compete with the Sharks. The Sharks on the other hand were playing this game as if it was, well....A pre season game. The Sharks are an older team so it makes sense to not go all out in a meaningless pre-season game when you have a long season ahead of you.

Liked what I saw in the game.
Lindholm is best suited for top line duty, would like to see him there to start the year. He is very underrated defensively also.
Neal looked lost, and has for some time. Hopefully its just the preseason.
Like Czar and Bennett tonight, Czar oozes skill and Bennett held the puck well and played physical.
Second PP was hot garbage tho.

I mean, why not? Why like Tkachuk for all these reasons, don't we? Sure, Bennett doesn't score as much, and he may never, but as long as he's contributing in big moments and changing momentum with plays like that, He's A-OK in my books.
My biggest gripe with Bennett has always been unnecessary offensive zone penalties. He took one tonight, so I'd still like him to clean that up, but other than that, he's fine.

Dominating 35 minutes by the Flames. Not sure how many odd man rushes the Flames had but I was great to see. None of this 50/50 hockey. There will be times where it burns the Flames so need to take the good with the bad with this system.

Well the Flames have drafted or acquired 20% of the 2013 1st round so I'm just happy two of them are players.

Really like Lindholms game - really is kind of a Backlund clone but maybe more upside.

I gotta say that even though Ferland has some other strengths to his game, he definitely couldn't make a play like this.
I'm liking the early returns on that Carolina deal.

Czarnik is freaking amazing. Plays a great all around game.

My thought is that he's going to be used as a trade chip. Mind you they may keep him around for a piece of their retool.
