Managed to get 2 tickets in the presale too! Pretty excited - my favorite concerts have been by living legends. The Ticketmaster website seemed buggy to me, not letting me enter certain fields/chrome autofilled the wrong info in the wrong fields which never happens.
Hoping to find a good parking lot/rest area to crash at afterwards now.
"I do have sour grapes," Blues Can owner Greg Smith said. "This is not a fair situation. I'm being asked to compete with somebody who doesn't have anywhere near the expenses that I have."
Smith and another owner of a longtime Inglewood music venues, Ironwood Stage & Grill, say they're at risk of closing already — and the newly opened, for-profit business, owned by the non-profit, is targeting the same artists and audiences.
"We're all hurting right now, I mean, hurting beyond hurting," Smith said. "We're living day by day. You know, 'Is this the day I tell all my staff not to show up anymore?'
"And then in the midst of this, we get these fat cats rolling into town saying, 'Oh yeah, we're just going to do the same thing you do, but we don't have to worry about any of those issues.'"
Anyone in Missoula for the Pearl Jam show tomorrow?

No, but have fun. I imagine the whole town will be there.
Best show I have been to in 25 years. Tons of Canadians present and The Hip were well represented by dozens of T-shirts.
1st PJ show for me. It's eaay to see why they carry the rabid fanbase they do. They are spot on every time and play for 3 hours regularly. Most importantly, though, they mix their setlists like no other band. You never know what you might hear! They played Fatal for the 8th time ever last night. It was fantastic.

Yes indeed. Missoula is a fun town (Mod Pizza and Big Dipper Ice Cream FTW) , I didn't actually manage to get a room there (got tickets day they went on sale and not a single hotel/Airbnb for 40 miles in either direction...), but the town was absolutely buzzing when we spent the day there on Monday. I thought the show was really good, but I actually thought it was the first time like I felt the band was clearly better than the crowd. Maybe it was the later than expected start at around 8:40, but just wasn't feeling the crowd energy like I usually am at PJ shows. But the band itself might have been the best I've seen them play, everyone was on point, especially McCready.
And having never been to Montana, does every single road stop have an espresso shack with huck pies?

I was on the field, and I was really impressed that they put portos on the field. I didn't actually have to use the bathroom during the show, but that would have been a first to be able to go and still be really close to the music. The merch line was absolutely stupid outside the stadium (and not much better inside). I wanted to come down when they played Missoula in 2012 but just couldn't work it out logistically, but I'm really glad I did. I drove the Koocanusa down and it was beautiful, and drove through Glacier coming back which was also beautiful. Hopefully they do another show there soon, I'll definitely be back.

Apparently the upcoming Mastodon show on Sept 2 has been cancelled - along with the rest of the tour - due to "a critical situation of a member of the Mastodon family".
