Flipped over to watch the Allan Cup final cause this game looks over.
Realized as I watched that the Lacombe team (who is playing Stony Creek) features former Flames player and CP legend, Brennan Evans.
36 years old, still playing for the love of the game.

Yikes, weak interference call on Pastrnak. I'm all for cracking down on the dangerous (aka headshot) plays, but this IS playoff hockey. That's not a penalty most nights, let alone in the playoffs.

It's incredible that a team as good at drafting as the Bruins are whiffed on Barzal and Connor
What's even more incredible is that they don't seem to be suffering for doing so

Replace Zboril and Senyshyn picks with Barzal and Connor and this team would be ridiculous.
Perfect example of a team letting their youth sink or swim this year though.
Really wish Bennett turned into the game breaker that Pastrnak is - when you hi on a guy like that just completely changes your roster.

The Leafs need better defencemen. I sure hope Calgary doesn't trade with them in the off-season, we always get fleeced.

I had such high hopes for Bennett but he just has not been able to put it together. A guy like Pastarnak or Ehlers from that draft would have been amazing but hindsight is always 20/20 i guess. I was ecstatic with the bennett pick at the time as were most fans
