Best $100 spent as I put some money last minute on an Oiler win. Guess this stretch run is going to get expensive

A little tense at the end there but they got it done. Nice win.

Always feels great to beat the Oilers.

The Godsmith is back to resurrect our playoff hopes.

Best contested BoA game in quite some time. Both sides brought it and didn't abandon their assignments mid game for slop hockey like seemingly every recent meeting.

So I have an epic E=NG to post when I get home. Should it go in this thread or the NG? Probably the latter.

CHED talking about McDavid, about how they didn't call penalties for him, how Smith only one able to stop him, how McJesus has taken his game to the next level now.

LOL

Gaudreau = 1 goal
Monahan = 1 assist
Ferland = 1 assist
Smith = 2 huge points

Oh, and Big Looch trying to score on Smith tonight:

Ok, huge exaggeration on my part, I admit. Fair enough. But I'm pretty sure all of us were more than a little worried about that bottom 6 before the game started, especially the 3rd line. Full credit to those guys though, as they all played a terrific game tonight.

Happy we got the win!

Smith makes 3 10 bell saves or its 3-1 oilers. Refs were bad, but I’m sure you won’t hear that here.

I’d be concerned it takes a complete defensive breakdown to score a goal against a team that played like horse #### tonight.

More
“Tonight was a big win for our team. We played as a team and everybody bought in.” - Mike Smith

That was very notiecable tonight. Next to no secondary chances for the Oilers. 90% of smiths work was one and done save for the final two minutes.

Again that was a total team effort and one of a very few games where the Flames showed this all season.

Play like this from now until june, you could hoist a trophy over your head.
