They limited high danger chances though, so that's something. Not enough saves.
Nice to know keeping those high danger chances to a minimum came to all for naught. But high danger chances down, so that's a moral victory.
Wish it meant something good for the points standings.

Yup, pack it up guys, seasons over!

I get it, just tired of the refs dictating a game. Seems to be happening more and more as of late.
Players get called out in public when they mess up, the officials should have the same thing happen to them.

I wish I didn't care as much as I do. Time to find something else to invest my time into instead of this team. What a let down.

Good thing Glass was in the lineup, solid call. Thank god we had our timeout after giving up 4 goals in 12 minutes.
Failing to lottery protect the Hamonic pick, and wasting 2 years on a pathetic coach should cost Trelieving his job.
|
I think our GM has done a fantastic job assembling the team. The coach decision is his biggest blemish. Is GG a better coach then what we see? Maybe...but not for this group. Unfortunately, we have tied ourselves to this ship which has felt off (for this group) for I feel his entire tenor

$100 says they don't win 5 of the next 6 and it is over. If they win 5 of 6 OR make the playoffs you win. Are you in?

It will not take .700 record. There are so many games between the teams fighting for the playoffs that it will bring down the amount of points needed (unless there are a ton of three point games).

Oh definitely, tonight was Rittich’s game - I meant moreso in the stretch of games where Rittich kept starting.

He played last night, his 3rd in a row.
Rittich plays tonight because it's a back-to-back. Rittich played several in a row before that because he had earned it previously.
I bet we'll see Gillies Friday.

Why do you take Bennett off the 1st line last night in favour of a waiver wire pick-up?
Such bizarre, stupid decisions. What a bad coach.
|
i'm pissing into the wind here obviously, but here goes:
You dress Stewart and glass because you have a handful of players not good enough and you have to play some of them. Glass hasn't played NHL hockey in like 50 games,
You take Bennett off the first line because you need him to be maybe the only halfway decent player on the roster in the bottom 6.
Hathway - Janko - Brouwer, which we saw part of tonight, might be the worst third line in the entire league. I don't know what buffalo's got but it would be tough to get worse than that.
You put Glass in because Lazar took an absolutely brutal interference penalty yesterday that started the momentum slide, and undisciplined play will kill you in the NHL (we saw that tonight).
The Penguins fired Bylsma AFTER LOSING IN THE STANLEYCUP FINAL IN THE PREVIOUS SEASON.
The flames got friggin' swept.
Get some perspective.

Rittich simply isn't providing NHL level goal tending.
It's not even debateable...and beyond his numbers (as bad as they are starting to become), its all about the team in front of him. They clearly have no confidence in him, which is a way bigger issue than anything he stopped or didn't tonight.
Huge issues with this club all over the place at the wrongest time of they year that it could be.
(No I am not an English major)

He really hasn't. The coach absolutely has to go, but the stacked defense approach Treliving has taken is failing. Our scoring balance is brutal, the bottom six is embarrassing and the defence he's gone all in on isn't even great. Definitely not great enough to overcome the gongshow that is the forward situation.
The Treliving the wizard meme is dead imo.
He should absolutely start being on the hot seat with a new coach in place next season. However I don't think he will be being the entire organization has a serious problem with accepting that their decision making is flawed.
