I would take a chance with Stewart.
Motivated he is a pain in the butt to deal with. Yet I know when he is not motivated he is Troy Brouwer.
The price though is free. Worth the risk.
Yet I think he gets claimed before we can. Would I resign him? No! If we won the cup with him and he was a star for us, I would not sign him.
A pure rental in my mind. That could help the team. For free.

No, he's not a capable 5/6 guy.
That's why he is in waivers.
You need to let it go.

I always figured flames would eventually bring oduya in to pair up with his disciple kylington. I doubt it now though.
I am feeling certain the flames may pick up Stewart as a zero cost bottom 6 winger who is tough to play against but can also pot some goals.

If Stewart was what you seem to think he is, he wouldn’t be on waivers.

True.
I am not saying I want this to happen, but rather at the cost, I wouldn't be surprised.

I’d sooner sign Iggy, because you know he’s putting everything on the line over a short period of time. Stewart? He’s Rene Bourque. No thanks

I don't think a non-motivated Stewart is equal to Troy Brouwer.
When Stewart isn't firing, he is absolute junk and borderline an AHL guy, maybe not even the ECHL. He is EXTREMELY slow out there.
Brouwer can keep up with the pace of the game.

Hmmm. I think I'll follow the opinion of the team that just dumped him for nothing, and the 22 teams who chose to pass on picking him up for free.

Is Burrows being sent down? I thought Ottawa was just trying to get rid of the contract.

Speed, yes. IQ, not top 6 quality, but good enough for the 3rd or 4th line. He's just a whipping boy because of his salary. Doesn't change the fact that he's better suited for our team over Stewart. Regardless, it's a depth low risk add, so no biggy, but don't expect him to be higher than Brouwer on the depth chart.

Weird that so many teams passed on Oduya. He's free, and at the very least can provide injury depth and some leadership. Good pick up for the Flyers.
