What a great interview. More insightful than the ones we get from the usual media guys.

Maybe if these comprised most of his show, it would be worth listening to.

Good interviews and takes comprise 80% of the show with the rest being humourous filler.

The inside jokes, clone on clone ribbing, funny bits and non-sports takes take a good sports show to great.

As for all of the bashing Rome gets, I can almost imagine the letters:

Dear Van Smack,

I'm tired of all of the smack and repeated jokes on your show.

Guys on a message board that repeatedly smack talk each other in every thread then rehash the same 4 gifs.

One of my all time favourite radio moments was when Rome was on vacation and two guys from Arizona hosted and had comedian Frank Calliendo on who does an eerily good impression of Jim:





Apparently he didn't care for it at all which seems about right.
