Outside of what seemed like a tad too many prime chances against tonight, Flames played a strong game. Deserved the win, and they got it.

Smith was fantastic. He bailed the Flames out with those good chances that Minnesota created.

The top line is humming again. I just wish Ferland was a legit top-line winger. In only he could shoot the puck better... or pass/make plays better... stuff like that.

Flames look like they are becoming a more difficult to handle team now. Seems they are gaining confidence and feeling better out there. They flat-out dominate good teams for long stretches now, and that's a damn good sign. They are doing things at speed again. Looks like they tossed out those crutches and are just dancing out there now.

Also huge considering next game is in Tampa. Hard to realistically see 2 points there, so nice to pick these up and continue to climb.

Jankowski should get some consideration for his defensive play.

Minny gets a point but ah well. Flames just have to do what they did in the last 4 and they'll get 128 pts. That should overcome the loser points.

And they are playing a very heavy game, especially the third line.

Another huge win. Need to hit 6 or 7 in a row and keep gaining ground. Regulation wins would be even better.

Try Stone on the powerplay FFS!

Speaking of Stone, a couple of those calls on him were weak. Bad refs tonight for sure.

I think that might have been Stajan's best game in two seasons tonight, he was solid and made plays when they needed it almost like his job was on the line.

Hopefully Dougie can turn things around soon even if his brother is no longer with the organization. I’ll admit I’m starting to worry as he hasn’t found a way to be a difference maker the past few games. Like, FFS, you’re a professional! Amirite?

Nice to have our goalie steal a game . I actually don’t think we played that well, but when on the road you sometimes need it
