Why didn't Brodie just pass for the one timer

His play at the blue line is so frustrating. Always takes too long and ends up turning it over

Yeah that was frustrating to watch. This team needs to put more pucks on net. Way too many forced passes as they spent a lot of time in the Wild end in the last two minutes only to get no shots.

Good opening period for a road game.

It is nice to see that the team is holding onto pucks more when we line change. It was annoying watching us dump the puck every time we had to change lines. With our defence we can afford to let them hold the pucks in the d zone while changes happen, and get back onto a fresh rush.

They take too many low quality shots, and even more low quality shots is not the answer to generate more goals.

Shots were 8-8, but the Wild were more dangerous that period - we just happened to score on our 1 scoring chance.

Solid road period by the Flames. But man, it would sure be nice if our PP could actually start contributing once in a while. It'll be the death of them eventually if they can't get it sorted out. It's already cost us way too many points this season.

Brodie has regressed so much except for his skating. I cringe every time he touches the puck. Smith stands his ground giving us the lead in this period

Mangiapane is looking pretty good, he had a nice chance. Hopefully he can work himself up from the fourth line soon enough. On the other hand Brouwer has actually been pulling his weight lately so I'm not sure who to demote right now.

Best line of the bunch. You can bet that's a locker room running joke.
