Finland looked nervous in their own end the entire period, would be nice to see Valimaki on the PP. Dube will make the team next year. Smart, skilled, fast, great motor.

Yeah Dube looks like the kind of player that can do pretty much anything for the Flames in the future. Looks like a real solid pick to me.

Every time I see Juolevi play he looks garbage. So freaking glad we have Tkachuk.

That's one heck of a goal song for Finland.

Great offensive zone pressure by Finland on that PP goal.

This tournament is for kids. From age five to 21, the World Juniors were a staple for me. Most parents can't take their kid to more than 1 or 2 NHL games a year, but a night out at a junior game is something that can be done five+ times a year.

So the kids know who these players are. And they can imagine playing in this tournament. Lots of them will be playing in Christmas tournaments of their own. It is built to connect with kids. And kids don't care if it's not 'best on best'.

Now that I'm ten years older than everyone in this tournament, I find it difficult to get as wrapped up about the efforts of teenagers who've already accomplished more than me.

When I have kids, I'm betting my interest in this changes.

Entertaining game so far. The score is definitely flattering the Canadian squad tho. Finland has been the better team IMO.

Does anyone know what the stat line for Lindstrom was? Was he so good to warrant the player of the game?

Thanks

No points, no shots. Broadcast said he was good on faceoffs if you want to point to something.

Is Katchouk just Tkachuk with those fake glasses with a moustache?

I understand the complaints about Ferraro (I used to hate him), but damn is it nice to watch some hockey on TSN again.

Production value, Gord Miller, and great intermissions. Wish they would get some Flames games again.
