That was actually a stupid play by Johnny. His shot was a low percentage opportunity.

He should have slammed on the brakes and set up to generate a high danger, cross crease pass on the 5 on 3.

That was one of the worst 5-on-3s I’ve ever seen. Right from the first faceoff, one guy outworked our whole team off the draw and it somehow got worse from there.

The goofy thing about the pp is that the drop pass works almost every time to gain the zone. Then they just mess around for a while until they get a weak chance off and lose possession.

Get in the zone, crash the net, create some chaos and Monaghan will pot it.

Yup, but really all his teamates were just standing around watching him.

Having only 1 plan to enter the zone is just stupid. Mixing it up and being less predictable would probably help
