I'd take their Sam over our Sam, their Sam has outscored him every season and we lack depth scoring, and I see more upside with their Sam. Bennett is considered this tough god sometimes yet I see many slashing penalties from him.

Their Sam was also transitioned to wing way earlier, given PP time and far better line mates.

The lack of understanding of circumstances in regards to Bennett continues to drive me crazy.

Don't GM's go to "scout" games in places like Buffalo and Winnipeg so that all their under achieving players magically find another gear? Looks like it has worked judging by tonight's game.

Kane no doubt can score. Also has tons of size, toughness and swagger with the latter being missing from this team.

However, Treliving and Burke and Conroy have all come out many times about building the right culture on the team by bringing in quality individuals and although we don't know anything for certain, social media points to Kane not fitting that profile.... So I doubt it's Kane unless all of the rumours are badly exaggerated or simply just not true.

Agreed. Can't we keep our team for a while? I think Bennett might be the only major piece I'd be willing to part with, but Buffalo doesn't really have anything available that I want. No sense in upsetting chemistry for what are arguably similar players.

Flames top 6 playing great which allows Bennett to have room/time to grow.

Somehow that isn't good enough and CP wants to trade a 21 year old center who has amazing potential to be a very good player. All that despite having another center on our team who has had 2-3 great years after being given time to mature.

Girgensons is the 4th line center the Flames need. I honestly hope Treliving grabs him on a low trade pricetag.

I'd hope even although our top 6 is on fire that our gm is still trying to improve our team will.

I would be surprised if the Flames brought Kane here he is such an unpredictable trouble maker and it doesn't match our locker room.
Sam Reinhart or O'Reilly on other hand would be a nice addition.

I wouldn't like Kane within 50 feet of this team for a prolonged period of time...

Byfuglien threw his clothes in the shower and then the team bus left without him... and zero guys came to his defense? get offloaded to Buffalo in a matter of days following

Is he really as negative as people make out ?. I know he had people's in Winnipeg but he was just a young player

Really surprised the Sabres are this bad. I thought Housley would be an upgrade but things clearly aren't working. I imagine now is the time for GM's like Treliving to swoop in and see if there's a deal to be made by a desperate team. Plenty of scenarios given the Sabres may be looking to shake up the roster. There is something about the Reinhart's that I just don't see the passion or fire so I'm not a fan of trading Bennett for him as I feel even though Bennett isn't scoring the rest of his game translates a lot better to future success than Reinhart.
