Let me reverse this, Gaudreau, Mony and Ferland must be licking their lips looking at Edmontons 2nd 3rd and 4th line and their 2nd and third pairing on the blueline.
Was just going to say this. Unless McDavid plays 40+ minutes I'm not too worried. Flames win every other line matchup
I tend to get a bit charged up for these games by going over to that other forum and lurking in that other teams area.
Oiler fans are unlikealbe and incredibly arrogant about this team. They are also happy that there is a prospect of the Flames leaving Calgary.
They deserve nothing good, they deserve to have their new building collapse due to the rot out of its structural reports because of over exposure to urine. They deserve to have their team lose every game and have McDavid and Draisaitl tell them they suck as fans and its time to go.
they deserve the triumphant return of Lowe and Mac-T to power.
suck it Edmonton, Your city and your team and you need a healthy dose of cleansing fire.
Their arrogance is truly off the charts. I'm not exaggerating when every poster in their GDT is predicting a blowout in their favour.

They have always been arrogant. But for the first time in a long time, there is fuel to ignite the arrogance to new levels. First of all, they are actually a decent enough team to not pick 1st overall. Second, the media is giving them everything they want.
I just went to TSN to check if there was any Flames preview stuff, and I'm greeted by such headlines as:
"Have the Flames closed the gap on the Oilers?"
"Who is more likely to win the Cup? Oilers or Leafs?"
Not to mention that dude and his 31 bold predictions, and Spector with his awards sweep.
They are just lapping it up. I get it, Mcdavid is good. Draisaitl is pretty good. But man oh man that depth chart does not strike fear in an 82 game season and playoffs.
Playoff lock? Sure, i'll give em that. Why not?
Stanley Cup contender? Hahaha.
Heading up to Edmonton for the first time ever to watch a game there. Not sure what to expect wearing my jersey, but I am looking forward to cheering loudly as the Flames put a ton of goals behind Talbot.

Enjoy the game and I hope you have no voice tomorrow

Expect your jersey to reinforce the pride, class, strength, integrity and honor that logo stands for as you enter that nest of vile scum.
Let your jersey be a shining beacon of light and leadership in that embarrassing sea of darkness.

Generally don't be a doosh and all will be well. Expect some jeers and sneers from the home crowd, but that's all.
Standing and cheering for goals and high fiving is acceptable. Basically anything above and beyond that can get you in hot water with drunk home fans. If there is a Go Flames Go chant started, participating is encouraged.
PVR notice. Perhaps record SN360 along with SNW. Leafs-Jets is on before our game on SNW. With a long season opener presentation and Sportsnet Matthews Laine post game stroking they'll probably run long.

Re: topfiverecords PVR notice
Don't forget the inevitable Leafs-Jets OT
Right, right. Forgot about OT. Guess we'll have to listen to the radio until the 3rd period. At least it'll cut down on the times I have to hear "McDavid".
Man, I've missed Flames hockey. So pumped. Going to the bar to watch the game. Go Flames!
