As bad as the Jets have been this happens in the opening few weeks. More than a few teams won't be ready to play on game one of the season as Flames fans should know well. Leafs look better prepared while the Jets look like they are skating together for the first time since last season.

I guess. I feel like Flames should be ready for a big season while Jets have to solve some fundamental issues. I'd be disappointed if Flames weren't clearly ahead for most of the season.

I hate the Leafs but it is kind of fun to watch the Jets continue in mediocrity with poor defence and goaltending. I still can't understand whey they extended their GM and coach.

Apparently I should have taken more Leafs in my pool.

Jets are winning the last minute and a half 2 - 1! Build off that!

Hopefully we get to take advantage of a mentally broken Mason on Saturday!

Hahaha!

They just showed that the Leafs have not won a season opener since *gasp* 2013–14.

Fredrick Andersson with an historic XX save performance. It's the first time a goalie has ever done that.

The Blues seem to have the Penguins number as the Blues have not lost to them in reg time in the past 6 games going 5-0-1. Pietrangelo scored the GWG 75 seconds into OT. The Blues had a 4-2 lead with 7 minutes left in reg time, but, the Pens scored twice in 54 seconds to tie it up. It was a good game to watch with the banner raising, the Pens lead in shots 34-33. Forget about McDavid, how about Wayne Simmonds getting a hattrick as he lead the Flyers to a 5-3 in the Shark Tank. Both teams combined for 5 PPGs in the game. For the Sharks, Kevin Labanc scores 2 goals late in the 1st period and Brent Burns gets his 500th career point. Brian Elliot was good in net for the Flyers as he faced 35 shots. The Jets never got off the runway as they were lit up by the Leafs. Terrifc PK by the Leafs, pathetic PP from the Jets.
