This is simply awesome from every vantage point. An all time legend coming to town to play for Calgary. He fits a need organizationally perfectly. You don't need to worry about extending him beyond the one year, unless he wants and is worth bringing back. It gives the forward group four awesome lines. It also makes the Flames just that much more dangerous, not that they weren't already. And the jersey sales will be insane.

There is no need to trade Stajan. Also, injuries. Stajan as a 13th/14th forward is pretty solid.
Hamilton or Hathaway can be waived and sent down.
