If he is hungrier to succeed and this leads to greater discipline for him this summer in terms of nutrition and fitness then the recall was a big success I'd say.
You may not consider this a plus but Andersson not being in Stockton means more ice time for guys like Kylington, Mattson, Wotherspoon, Healey, etc.

I see your point but I thought tonight would've been a good test to see what he can bring right now. Hopefully the team learned from their mistakes last game

Actually, I don't care, I would just feel way way way better, if we lose, but we hacked and cross checked the hell out of them, as opposed to losing, and not hacking and cross checking the hell out of them.

Chad knows his last outing was shaky. He'll be pumped for this one.

Lets play our back up in the last game of the season against the team we will probably end up playing in the 1st round who has not only seems to have their way with us almost every time we play them but also beat us in 5 last time around and has beat us at their rink every time since our star rookie could tie his shoes.
Flames really need this win for their mental game going into the playoffs. Not a fan.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
To reiterate my disbelief. They signed Brian Elliott and didn't give him either of the starts in Anaheim this year. Dumb.
Edit - Also lol at the tags

I need about 4 or 5 points each from Backlund, Monahan, and Hamilton to have a sniff at winning any cash in a pool I am in, so I'll go with a 8 - 2 Calgary win.

I don't get the Johnson start? Elliott is the goalie now and for the playoffs.

Right. So you manage his workload between now and playoffs.
Am I a fan of it? Not really, but I get it.

Elliott has played a tonne lately. Not a bad thing to get him a rest I suppose.
Though I expected Johnson vs LA.

Gulutzan did hint he would rest players that needed it and Elliott has been playing a lot so I'm not surprised Johnson is starting as he needs a game or two going into the playoffs in the event something happens to Elliott. Maybe he can pull out one of those December efforts out.

If we're sitting Johnson, we should just go full rest and preserve mode

That's how little faith I have in Johnson against the Ducks unfortunately.
If we rest Johnny and Monahan and start our back up, the pressure is off.
