Was browsing the thread, you didn't quote, so forgive me for not knowing your intent. Seems you've been over reacting to this whole thing though, or did I get that wrong too?

What exactly is there to address?

I highly doubt that garbage media speculation would be the exact reason.Excessive taxation, crappy cold and snowy weather and lack of endorsement opportunities are more likely reasons,oh and perhaps that Canadian NHL franchises are a clown show and a Canadian team will not win a Stanley Cup for the foreseeable future if ever again.

But how do you know Gulutzan read it? And even if he did, it's a non-issue. This is Spector doing Spector things

Well, there is definitely something to the drinking/partying rumors with some of these players. Two Flames players were absolutely pounding back drinks in the Chili's at YYC during a flight delay, waiting for a plane to Mexico last Weds. Not gonna name names. But they were there, and it seemed flag raising given the time of day.
I get it, they were going into a bye week. But pounding them back at 11 am, isn't a good sign during your playoff push. Sure relax, unwind, refresh. But when you have 4 months of the year off, where you can do that all you want, it doesn't seem wise to be doing that mid-season.

but where's the news article or official Bob Mckenzie tweet on this? My favourite players could never act like real human beings and party irresponsibly

I think Wideman and Chiasson deserve a few 11AM beers before the break after their performance so far this season.

I know you are kidding, but I looked up the stats. Apparently Wideman was on contract with the Flames both times Johnny was late or missed something.
Can we continue to ignore this obvious trend?

If you think our kids of today have problems (Money, Johnny, Ferland) with booze and partying, go look at the photos at a place called Orlando's in Castle Downs, Edmonton. The early 80's Oilers teams should call this their second home. Fuhr, Moose, Coffey, Goofy all look smashed and high surrounded by poofed up hair 80s style women wearing hardly any clothing.
I feel sorry for the athletes of today having to contend with social media and 24 sports news.

On a serious note it's probably nothing, to suggest it was over partying is a big leap without anyone knowing more. However he's earned that suspicion as wether people want to believe it or not he has a big reputation for partying here. I guess it's going to lead some people to jump to conclusions over these kinds of things. I doubt if it was any other player there would of been an article written.

Seems fine to me.
It only takes two days at most to recover from a hangover.
Believe me. I've tried to drink myself to death on occasion.

I see what you're saying. I Googled "Orlandos, Castle Downs, Oilers, 1980" and this came up:

Can't even have a few mid day beers before getting on a flight to start the vacation...
This is the exact fish bowl stuff that drives me bonkers. It's crazy you'd give a second thought about that TBH.
