I'd really be disappointed if there wasn't a sense of urgency with the whole team for the rest of the season. They could so easily drift right out of a playoff position. I'm expecting tons of effort whether it translates to wins or not.

They're playing pretty good. Weak team yes, but Smith is playing very well for Arizona so far. If this keeps up for two more periods they'll be fine. Just have to find a way to get that first one.

The radio guy (Derek Wills?) on Fan960 has improved immensely since he started. He used to be so bad I stopped listening to the games. I was a big Peter Maher fan. But just tuning in now for the first time in years, man, what a difference. He's actually quite good.

Not a terrible period, considering they're coming off a long break. Flames have definitely been the better team as far as possession. But man, they'd better find their scoring touch and start burying some of these chances if they want the 2 points.
