What's the story with picking Edwards? He came to the Flames with a lot of hoopla and was quickly a disappointment. He did beat the Russians though.

3, Noodles (Jamie McLennan)
HM - Grant Fuhr. Man I hated him in the 80's, but in a good way
~Edit~ Actually I am surprised I am the first to list Noodles. Who can forget the slash on Franzen after Kipper got run? Some fun old reading here Link
Also IIRC didn't he decline the Canucks in favor of Calgary when Loungo declared signing Jamie as backup a condition of his re-signing with Vancouver?

Plante/Hall tie. Favorite original six goalies. Plante mostly for bringing about adoption of the mask. Very smart guy.
Brodeur
Kiprusoff

Very underrated goaltender. One of the few right handed shot/left handed catching goaltenders who would flip his stick over to play the puck. Was hilarious and amazing to watch him do it when he was in Calgary.
My list:
Kipper: Gets flack for declining save percentage later in his career but I think he would've put up elite Carey Price numbers without guys like Zyuzin "helping" him out. I think it's called a proper defensive system.
Tim Thomas: Probably the most impressive playoff run of goaltending I've ever seen. Yes, better than Hasek's playoff run in Buffalo. Like, he made Ryan Kesler cry. The man is a saint.
Martin Brodeur: Thrilling to watch him do two-pad stacks and make saves in the modern era. Was able to do it because he essentially had a Gretzky-like ability to read the play and was also an incredible skater.

My brother would always choose Lemelin and I would be Edwards when playing floor hockey in the basement. Plus, i always got a kick out of his gear. More of a sentimental reason for putting him in the list

This. Dude was a clown, but he had outstanding taste in goalie gear. That fire breathing dragon mask is still my all-time fav Flames goalie mask.
1. Roy
2. Potvin (his Leafs-era mask is still my goalie mask. And such a slick glove hand)
3. Cujo/Ranford (I know I know, as a Flames fan, gross. But as a fellow goalie, Ranford played such a fun style. Plus I went to his Sylvan Lake goalie school way back in the day and he was a beauty so I always liked him after that)

1. Roy. If my life was on the line, this guy would be my goalie. Yeah, he's probably a dick, but no one better at stopping the puck.
2. Dryden. Loved the mask as a kid, he was one of the first giant guys to play goal. Looking back, his pads look ridiculously small. 6 Cups in 8 years, unreal. Almost became a goalie because of him.
3. Kiprusoff. Cool, calm and collected. Wish we saw him here for longer.

Hasek - just amazing
Dryden - consistent excellence under pressure -came straight out of college into Stanley Cup playoffs and won.
Plante - should be there just as an innovator, but also an outstanding goalie

So hard to rank them, so in no order:
Glenn Hall: Mr Goalie. The developer of the Butterfly Goalie Style. To my mind, having the ability to look at a position and say "I can do this a better way" is amazing.
Patrick Roy: If for nothing else than the wink. The man could play and battle.
Dominik Hasek: Yeah I don't reckon there will be another goalie with the same reckless approach to playing net. I reckon he used every part of his body at some point to make a save.

Kipper
Cheevers
Tretiak
Cheevers was my fave before any other...had a mask just like his when I played and I wore Tretiak's #20.

Hasek's peak was so much better than Roy's.
