He does that a lot. Pretty sure there are a couple other games where he deflected goals but goals didn't take credit. Very talented unselfish player, we are lucky to have him!

I only caught the third but it seemed like a great game the Flames could have won. Difference seemed to be Lundqvist is all world while Elliot is all average.

These are issues that working with a goalie coach should iron out. It just seems that every goalie that comes through lately has a weakness that's leading to bad goals against and don't seem to improve on it over their tenure here. Eventually you have to call the goalie coach into question. That or the goalie is just stubbornly sticking to their habits or being complacent. I dunno.
I don't know for sure that Sigalet is the problem.

But I am certain that he isn't the solution.

If a team is truly evaluating the organization on an annual basis and looking for places to improve it's hard to imagine him returning in any capacity next season. I can't say if he's a bad goaltending coach or not but it simply hasn't worked out.

A lack of a #1 goalie and several underperforming forwards is not a good combination to have when you're trying to make a playoff push. The optimist in me thinks this team can still make the playoffs but the realist in me sees a deluge of teams pushing for a few spots; the Flames will ultimately fall short.

Unfortunately I agree with this. I think this team will continue to have a few short stretches where they look good but overall, play like they have for the majority of this season, which is simply not good enough.

If Gaudreau wakes up and starts dominating games again that might change but I'm not sure we'll see that this year. He needs to figure out a way to rework his game over the summer. Sure he's getting points but has there been a game where he dominated this year? I mean took control and not get a couple assists.
