Monahan reached his 20th goal of the season in game 68 in 13-14, in game 59 in 14-15 and in game 62 in 15-16. Now has his 19th in his 54th this year ... yeah, let's trade him.

I don't understand the NHL. If Brouwer doesn't react the way he did then Palmeiri doesn't get called. There wasn't a penalty called until Brouwer reacted.
If that happened to the Flames I'd be pissed.

Is this correct? Nieuwy did back to back 50 goal season, was he just older because of college or something?

Disagree.
We've collectively bitched for years about this team not showing enough emotion out there. And as mentioned above, I don't think the refs were calling a penalty on Palmieri until Brouwer actually reacted the way he did.

Monohan's goal totals are amazing, considering it seems like he's had a down year (or, at least a slow start)...he could hit 30!!

If they don't call the penalty than Brouwer ends up stabbing Palmieri with his skate and the league looks bad.

It was called by back ref. Dirty and dangerous play by Palmieri.
Brouwer pushed him hard but not worthy of a penalty.
