Am liking Canada's tenacious forecheck in this game!

Three power play goals for Canada tonight! Special teams are on point.

Hart has let in two soft goals tonight. He was bad in the exhibition. How long do they stay with him?

Goaltending has been the achilles heal for Canada in this tournament lately. It looks like it is their big question mark again.

Will we ever see a good goaltending performance for Canada at this tourney again? It feels like it's been a decade since I was confident in our netminder

It's wins, not shutouts that count. As long as Hart makes the saves he needs to make it will be his net.

Granted I have only watched this one game, but I do not see anything elite from Dubois so far.

He hasn't been lighting it up in the CHL this year either. He seems a bit off.

One game, but I really like what I see from Dube. Not a huge guy, but fast, gritty and liked to forecheck. And obviously he can put up some points too. Pretty happy with what I saw.

Dube-Cirelli line was Canada's best line. Almost disappointing they're not getting rewarded some PP2 time for their fine work. Jost, Myers, and Barzal also looked great as individuals.

Canada looked better against the Russians tonight than they did in their last preliminary game against the Swiss - guess they were waiting for games to count.

I hope they give Connor Ingram a look in net. Living in Kamloops, I frequently watch him play for the Blazers and I walk away impressed every time.

Hart has some work to do otherwise the team looks good after this key win.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Strome is all that good? He doesn't seem that great defensively and doesn't backcheck much, isn't the best skater, gives the puck away a lot and doesn't use his linemates very well.

You're definitely not alone. He's not very dynamic and relies upon others to drive the play IMO.

Great at finding space to get off a wicked wrister though which is in itself very valuable.

Quite comparable to one of our own.
