Completely disagree. Drew Remenda is one of the most unprofessional pom-pom waving fan boys I have ever listened to. He is dreadful.

Well if this thread is any indication maybe people hear what they want? When he sighed in O.T, it was because McDavid took a bad penalty and was caught out on the ice too long. Remenda maybe was being unprofessional there but it wasn't him being a pom-pom waving fan boy. He basically called out McDavid for taking a bad penalty on a long shift but there were several comments in this thread as if he sighed because he thought it was a bad penalty.

And for the record, I don't like Remenda and think he is unprofessional and not very good but he is not a fanboy homer. He always calls out the Oilers and says when they deserved a penalty. To me, he is a pessimistic homer. You can tell he's a huge Oilers fan but he seems sick of watching them as well.

You sure know a lot about his intentions based on a sigh.
And it doesn't really matter anyway. It is bush league to sigh, regardless of whether it was due to him being frustrated at McDavid or the refs. He was acting like a flustered fan would act. Not a broadcaster.

Well I didn't need to guess because he literally said "That's what happens when you get caught out on the ice for too long" right after he sighed.
And I agree it's bush league to sigh, but he wasn't sighing because he was being a homer and thought it was a bad penalty.

That's 1 Connor McDavid every 6 seconds, roughly. For a guy who was pointless on the night, made a horrible turnover leading to a go-ahead goal, and was easily stopped in the shootout.
Please ease up on the hype, Sportsnet.

I had the TV still on in the other room and all I could hear through the walls was "hzhzhzhz-McDavid-hzhzhz-ConnorMcDavid-hzhzhzhz-McDavidMcDavid-hzhzhzh.."
He needs to start getting the Voldemort treatment. Cause 1.5 seasons in, they've already turned his name into audible sandpaper.

It's funny that Oilers fans weren't defending the Flames and their record when the Flames had 6 back to back games to play by November and 6 games in 9 nights on the road. The Oilers had one back to back game by November, and many games where they played a tired team. They had the softest schedule in the league to start, and they have the least amount of back to backs, and the highest amount of playing tired teams on the back to back in the league, and here they are making excuses.

The BJs are currently for real, they beat Detroit 3-1. Atkinson with a shorthanded goal and Bobrovsky was in net for the BJs.
It is 2-2 in the Sharks-Ducks game midway through the third period. The Anaheim commentators are wearing funny looking Christmas sweaters. Brett Burns scored with six seconds left in the first period and that seemed to wake up the Sharks.

In Chicago for the Hawks-Rangers game. Damn that was fun, what a great building, atmosphere. In all honesty Vancouver, which is where I have seen the majority of games in past five years is amateur compared to this. Fantastic night and a pretty damn good hockey game.

Who should we be cheering for the Ducks or Sharks? I'm just hoping it doesn't go to OT.

Yes, that's the most important thing.
Ducks win in regulation. Good result. Flames are still in a playoff spot.

Not sure I agree with that but alright. However when a ref misses a supposed penalty (in Remenda's mind) taken by the opposing team, he has an utter meltdown if it's not called. If any refs listen to his game calls they must despise him.
Edit: to further my point I remember clearly last game where the refs missed a Phoenix penalty and Ball said something to the effect of "thought there should've been a penalty coming there but the refs disagree". Slight slant towards the home team but still PROFESSIONAL. It's like someone slept with Remenda's wife when it's against the Oilers: "Oh my god, I just don't understand how there wasn't a penalty call there, wow!!" TLDR: Remenda sucks.

Hell of a goaltender duel between Raanta and Darling...a Hossa goal got waved off, a late twitch by the Rook Hartman, carrying at the blue line put Hossa a fraction offside...they got the review right.
A sloppy line change in OT doomed the 'Hawks.
