Hathaway gives us the opportunity to trade Bouma.

With Ferland possible out for a bit and Bouma close to returning, you may get your wish...

Playing well on the road, playing great at home.

You may be right. Still, want to see them ACTUALLY pass .500 first.

That was awesome and you can just feel the confidence starting to breed in this group. The team is lightyears past how they looked to start the season. It's like night and day.

Anaheim Ducks@AnaheimDucks
Calgary continues to take runs at our guys 🙄🙄

Boll responds in a big way, immediately putting Engelland down in their bout. #LetsGoDucks

This was from the Ducks Twitter account after the Boll and Engelland fight

Gaudreau looked like the player we saw at the World Cup and the last two seasons. I think we are going to have to get used to him not getting the calls because tonight was pathetic on the part of the refs and knowing NHL refs they'll hold a grudge for a long time.

I thought Gio and Hamilton were very strong tonight and Brodie aside from his one mistake (which was a hook on his hand/stick anyways) was solid and skated really well. He did end up a -1 but that was mostly bad luck I'd say.

After all the attention teams like the Oilers, Jets and Leafs have had to start this season, the NHL commentators are going to be forced to start taking notice of these Flames!

Yes, but I also hope Hathaway has moved ahead of Bouma on the depth chart and relegates Lance to the press box when/if the entire team is healthy.

Can't think of a bad performance tonight. The Backlund line was quiet offensively compared to the rest but defended well.

That was the most fun we have had at a Flames game this season. Just when you would settle in your seat again they would score. Great game to be at. Love the physical play in the 3rd by the the team too.

I think the Flames need more skills competition before each game.

So if we're keeping score -- following the road trip:

- Goaltending -- much improved
- Defensive coverage -- much improved
- Penalty kill -- much improved

And after tonight:

- Power play -- improving
- Offensive pressure -- much better with Johnny back

Anything left, beside Bennett taking all those minor penalties?

PS. Remember that December win streak that we saw last season? Just started this year with three in a row on this homestand (if you include Nov 30 against the Leafs). Woooo!

Kudos to the ones who stayed -- I heard a "we want 10" chant after Gio scored #8. Well done.
