Monahan's line was pretty bad. Bennett seemed to be the only guy around the puck and they spent most of their game hemmed in.
Brodie was stuck babysitting Wideman who is awful. I thought he had a good game though.
Gio was excellent. His details are on point. Not sure the offense is ever gonna be there in Gulutzan's Brent Sutter system but he really allows Hamilton to play loose.

Whatever Gulutzan is selling, the guys are buying in. And the results are starting to show.
Very pleased to see the third and fourth lines get rewarded with goals. They've been playing well and deserve it. Same with Dougie and his three assists -- he's really turned it on playing alongside Gio.
Great resiliency being shown by this team. No panic when behind 1-0 or when Detroit tied it at 2-2 in the third. Just continue to grind away like Matt Damon in Rounders.

Matt Damon did the opposite of grinding away, he risked it all multiple times.

Monahan was bad in the defensive zone but played pretty well offensively. Lost his man several times.
Bennett played pretty good.
Brodie wasn't great and wasn't that bad. If I had to use a word I'd use "average".
Gio played great and so did Hamilton.

I don't expect Bennett to do the heavy lifting for line 1, but I wish Monahan would stop being a floater and make a difference out there. He has the ability. Aside from his one fancy deke he was again a passenger.

Anyone think we should maybe try Monahan on the wing and Bennett at centre maybe? Hes not getting it done defensivly and has a good shot which is good winger material.

They did it! 3-0-0 when I wear 'em on game nights!
The real question is should I wash them? Or keep the 'luck' locked in?

Another solid game, much better as of late and they are maintaining their play throughout the game.
"top" line was awful in my mind, completely disjointed. The chemistry that Backlund and Frolik have its amazing, they work so well together. Tkachuk has cut in her nicely. Incredible to see a 18 year of the with less then two minutes left and protecting a one goal lead.
I am going to vote for Elliott tomorrow. Team is playing solid team defense and I think he is due.
