I need to find a gif the flames played after tkachuk scored, it was a cat with goggles and in the goggles was bouma stuck in a loop with pickles flying everywhere

Yup any thoughts of him just being a product of his linemates in London can be doused in gasoline and lit the F up. He's the real deal!

I think you could be right. I was even skeptical after 5-6 games, but he's completely won me over that he belongs and can play in this league.
And (truly) no better players to help groom him than Backlund and Frolik.

Great win. Hopefully this gives players confidence and starts to snowball. Things looked a lot better. It doesn't matter that it is the Coyotes - any team in the NHL can beat any other team on any given night.
Ferland was great tonight as well. He brings a lot to the table. Hathaway plays his role so well and is fairly consistent at it. He looks like not only an NHL player, but practically a vet out there.
Tkachuk - yep, hashmarks-down, he really is elite. Was giving the Coyotes fits at times.
Backlund - Frolik = meh.. just another typical game by these two. These are the guys that are always deserving of platitudes after every game, whether the Flames win or lose. They have been the backbone of this team this year without question.
Defence looked better. Was shocked when they called the Coyotes for tripping up Wideman Of course they made up for that later. I am only half kidding there. Defence as a unit looked much more steady throughout the game than in most games.

A lot of things looked good against the worst team in the league not located in Western Canada. Won't complain though -- a win is a win (even if it has to come in overtime).
Already seeing the silver lining with Johnny's injury -- could be the catalyst for some good things for this team.

Watching in Abbotsford tonight (and glad it was on SN here!) - thought the Flames played very well for a "should-be" tired team. Great hustle and lots of physicality. Ferland and Chucky especially.
Now I can go back to figuring out why the windows in my trailer are leaking in the semi-torrential downpour.....

just wanted to quote this. Ferland was a beast!

Just got back from the game. Tkachuk was a beast all night. Same with Ferland. Both had that look in their eyes...
Johnson is so smooth and easy going in the net. What a solid pickup. Gio had the puck bouncing on him all night and couldn't hit the net to save his life. Brodie is slowly but surely coming back to form.
All in all a great game. Was expecting a loss. But the Flames absolutely dominated the 3rd like I haven't seen them dominate in a while.

That was a fun game to be at. Much better vibe at the Dome right from the drop of the puck.

As much as the team has struggled to start the year, it's funny because the whole division sucks terribly and the Flames could easily sneak into the playoffs if they string some wins together. Still need Monny, Gio and Brodie to keep improving which I think they are definitely doing if they are going to make a push, thought they played generally pretty well tonight despite lack of points.
Really liking that steadily climbing save % from Johnson too, he's up to .915 now.

Agreed. Crowd seemed to have a little extra juice tonight -- especially for an 8:00 game against a team like Arizona. Credit to the Flames for putting in a solid effort -- good pressure, lots of scoring chances, and a ton of hits.
