The happiest guy in the world right now has to be Barack Obama. I cannot imagine the sense of smug satisfaction that man must be feeling right now.

The breakfast he eats the morning after his last day is going to taste better than anything we could possibly imagine.

I'd already have a Villa in Panama to live in for the rest of my life and leave this entire dog and pony show behind.

Do the exit speech: "I'm out. Y'all can burn in hell. Have fun. Go Cubs Go." Mic drop. Get on Air Force 1 to Panama and let the whole thing burn behind you.

I suspect that it goes something like

We know this election was stolen from us real Americans, the system is rigged against us but for the future of the country we need to accept the results and continue the fight for the next two years when we will take back the senate. We will never let what happened tonight happen again.

Essentially he needs to start his media network now but that is more difficult if he's tied up in election law suits. So saying it's rigged while accepting the results is far better for him because the courts never get to rule that the election was fair. He will threaten lawsuits that either get filed and withdrawn or never filed at all.

The last thing he wants is for him to lose in court

He's a White Sox fan. I'd be more impressed if he dropped "#### the Cubs".

No one is really a White Sox fan...I mean...not really. In the true depths of their heart...no one. Well...maybe Oiler fans are closet White Sox fans.

Is anyone else getting 503 error messages sometimes when they post?

An update about the Trump Nevada lawsuit, I can't see how to link to it directly, it's on the 538 liveblog.

A little more detail on the Trump campaign lawsuit in Nevada: According to CNN, Trump’s lawyers filed briefs Monday night asking that early vote ballots cast past the poll’s official polling time not be “co-mingled or interspersed” with other ballots.

To reiterate the law, voters in line at the time a polling place officially closes are still entitled to cast their ballots, so it’s not entirely clear what the Trump team hopes to accomplish.

Per Nevada reporter Jon Ralston, Clark County issued a statement in response to the Trump suit: “The petition from the Trump campaign is a request to have us preserve the records from early voting. This is required by state law, and so it is something we are already doing.”

Giuliani is on MSNBC and forgot what network he was on, called it CNBC. Says Clinton paid thousands of dollars to thugs to start riots to hurt Trump's chances and MSNBC won't report it. Also says that Trump won't contest the result unless it's a "close election with allegations of fraud".

Not sure, I don't think it's anything load related as the load is really low.

I noticed a few weeks ago that posts started taking a while to actually post, like 5-10 seconds after hitting post (which is unusual), I thought maybe it was only for moderators but now that there's 503's for everyone..

I wonder if it has something to do with thread subscriptions. I did change to a different way of sending emails not that long ago. I'll have to start digging in the logs to see if I can see anything.

The actual Trump lawsuit:

https://www.scribd.com/document/3304...Nevada-Lawsuit

“This action is to preserve the status quo so that, if the election of presidential electors from the State of Nevada is contested, the candidates and courts must redress egregious violations of Nevada election law perpetrated by the Registrar on November 4, 2016.”

In Florida you may not have signage or attempt to do any campaigning/electioneering 100' from the entrance to a polling station.

I probably say this every election, but my goodness it's embarrassing that lots of Americans have to wait 2-3 hours in line to vote. The longest I have ever had to wait in Canada is 15 minutes. There should be a mandate for the number of polling stations per capita.

Ya, I've got a couple 503's and posting takes a long time. Maybe the hamster died? Probably wasn't vaccinated.

I dont think I've ever had to wait. I mean, voting is a very, very simple process. You show up, you check in, you mark the paper, you drop it in the box and then you go home and drink yourself blind.

See? Simple.

That was funny.

They actually reduced polling stations by 16% from 2012 in areas that were no longer subject to the Civil rights act legislation.

It's a means of making it more difficult for low propensity voters to vote. In general republicans are more committed to voting.

I hope there's either a copy of the transcript or a saved VoD because it sounds like it would be hilarious to watch.
