I get what you're saying, but I think he's good enough to make most NHL teams regardless of winger depth.

I also agree that he sticks past 9 games if he plays all 3 zones well. Points be damned, they'll be patient with him as long as he plays the right way. I have no doubt he'll get his share of points at any rate.

Hopefully the Flames have to pay Bennett $5 or $6 million per year next off season.

The way this pre-season has gone he looks ready to bust out big time. Maybe give Johnny a run for team lead in scoring.

Yeah, those that were starting to act like Bennett has shown what he's capable of already are crazy. He'll be a star forward, it's been pretty clear. What still remains to be seen is whether he'll reach that franchise centre ceiling that experts spoke of in his draft year.

Hopefully Bennett slides into this season with a 25 goal 50 point year. Lock him up long term for around or just under Monahan money and we're golden.

Broadcast mentioning that no is standing out besides the Tkachuk-Bennett-Brouwer line.

Ahh, just good enough for a long contract, yet modest enough for a lower cap-hit.

Backlund and Dougie have looked good.

Higgins invisible completely. Vey a couple ok moments and some dumb turnovers.

Agreed, but from a contract perspective I think the other question is how quickly he gets there. A break out season this year means another tough negotiation next summer. Or if it takes a little longer maybe a bridge.

Personally Im excited to see what he can do. And I really think he is going to break out this year. Too much speed, skill and tenacity.

Those Twitter clips are clearly shot on professional cameras. Are they truly just broadcasting into nothingness?

How so? I see that as a positive. We pretty much already know what we're going to get out of Monahan-Gaudreau and Backlund-Frolik, so to hear this line is really meshing is awesome news, likely gives us a serious second line threat.

All that's really saying to me is it's pre-season and no one in a line-up with lots of PTO's and AHL bound players is standing out, but we're seeing the emergence of a new, bruising, scoring second line that we didn't have access to last season.

Someone can speak on this better than I can, but I would guess its just a skeleton crew to get footage for the NHL. For example, the need to review plays worthy of suspension.

Dougie fighting is brilliant haha.

Good to hear Chucky and Bennett are playing well.

Bennett/Tkachuk/Brouwer line has looked dangerous. The challenge will be finding the right linemates for Gaudreau/Monahan and Backlund/Frolik.

Yes, that part is good, but I worry that this is still a below average team overall. I guess last year just sapped any confidence I had in this team.
