Maybe there's a trade to be made with the Habs. The rumour was that the Flames took him a bit early because people knew he wouldn't make it past the Habs in the first round.
Excellent idea... Fresh start for him and maybe something good will come our way

Lets go Jankowski! I've been waiting almost half a decade to see this kid. As someone who always liked him as a prospect tonight is very exciting. I really hope he has a great game and maybe scores.

Also I really dont see Poirier and Klimchuk as busts. I think Poirier is going through the natural progression of a young pro. Klimchuk has had bad luck with injuries and was played in a defensive role for Stockton. I think most fans who feel like they are already busts have just been spoiled by the likes of Monahan and Bennett who made an impact in their first few games in the NHL. Even Gaudreau had 4 years of seasoning after his draft. I've got patience and hope for both Klimchuk and Poirier. I think they can potentially be good depth middle 6 types if they pan out.

The game will also be joined in progress on Sportsnet Pacific and West after the Blue Jays game has ended.

If Poirer doesn't have a good start to the season, Id trade him to Montreal for McCarron

I don't see MTL doing that deal.

Elliot looks like a stud. Just having competent goaltending is going to be good for another 10-15 points this year.

Edit: oops wrong thread
