McDavid learned the wrong lesson from Hall.

But it is nice that Gaudreau is more productive than his Leaf and Oiler leeches.

Boston fans must be thanking Chiarelli for the fact that Chara has 2 more years at $6.917M cap hit. Hopefully he successfully sewers the Oilers as efficiently. Chara does know that he doesnt have to be here if he doesnt want to be, right?

Europe's defense is old and slow, and their forwards are by and large bottom sixers or past their prime veterans.

Sweden and Canada have defenses that can skate with North America, but it'll be tough. These kids are relentless.

More Liev Schreiber, please.
That man could narrate paint drying or an Oilers game and I'd still tune in.

One. It is a 4.0M cap hit in the final year.

Curious, how does the cap go down in the final year? I thought the cap always stayed even, just the real dollars fluctuated.

Canada/US/Sweden will need to put on a defensive clinic to shut the kids down. If they let it go run and gun, NA will outscore anyone in the tourney.

It does, except for over-40 players.

Fun fact: He spent a small part of his childhood (a very small part) growing up right here in the Kootenays. Cool story bro, back to the game.

Good feature on Kopitar.

He may demand a trade from Europe.

Love those featurettes on players between periods. Top notch broadcasting, more of that please, Sportsnet.

Johnny's forecheck is so technically sound now. Give Hartley credit, his ancient systems were crazy in this day and era but his teaching of fundamentals was great and have reaped great rewards.

Eichel and McDavid cough up the puck and Europe scores as a result. 5-2
