All the similar young players on others teams were re-signed weeks ago. This shouldn't be taking this long, plain and simple.

The "hurry up already" crowd gives me a (sensible) chuckle. Why is this so important to you? What happens when they do sign? Do you get a bonus?

People can rest easy once they know the term and dollar figures for our 2 best forwards. Also some people will likely "move on" with their summers knowing the biggest to do lists for the Flames are done finally

I have no problem with the contracts taking a bit longer. It could mean the difference between buying an extra UFA year or saving another $1M off the AAV than if we just "hurried up" and signed them earlier.

Important to people, yes. I expect to read speculation on the term and dollar value. But getting wrapped up in the anticipation to the point of expressing anger or exasperation? Whats the point?

Exactly how do you get anger out of typed message board posts? Who's angry? It's just fans saying hurry the heck up cause they want to see it done, have something to talk about. No one's having a stroke here, I'm pretty certain.

I could see there being some people that will stop coming to this forum or checking there Twitter/sports apps all the time. I certainly won't because I can't get enough of this place.
I want them signed moreso to see the term than the dollars. To me anything under 8 years for Gaudreau will be a mistake. Monahan I am less concerned about

Negotiating 101. It is a back and forth between the parties. Everyone by now should know its a process. If it was August 27th I'd be more concerned.
