This is not even my problem. My problem is the level of Stay Golden's ire combined with the incredibly bad reasons he has for being so angry about this hire. In short, there is no good reason for anyone to be that upset about the new coach. I can understand measured disappointment, but I can't stomach over-the-top reactions on either side.

I couldn't care less if someone is unhappy about the hiring ... it's the assume anyone that disagrees with them is part of some sort of lemming group think is what pisses me off.
Makes me think of the last guy on the planet to swear up and down that the world is flat. The group think had some logic on their side, so the fact that the view was well represented doesn't mean they are drinking cool aid.
Gulutzan is one of the 5 or so guys mentioned that fit my list. Technical, teacher, good with young players, players coach. Didn't want the anti-possession fossil so I'm good with it.
That isn't group think or loving everything the team does a nodding hockey fan. That's criteria met.
All good.

I get that you don't like the hire but even though he's not my first choice I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and as of now he's done no worse than any of the new coaches hired and I've learned over the years that some of the high profile coach hirings never work out and some of the under the radar hirings turn out the best. Time will tell on this hire but no point in getting all upset about a story that has yet to be written. Give it a chance. You might like it.

I respect what you are saying, really I do. What am saying just are just words. It is nothing personal against any posters. If i was truly out of control I would do something irrational and cancel our season tickets.
I have waved the Flag since 80. Invested our family financially since 2001. I'm not jumping because of a lousy hire of course I will give it a chance.
Still don't like it but the dudes our coach.
