Lol Hamilton should have been one of the first 4 named.
Hope it lights a bit of a fire under him.
Think the NHL does want to showcase young talent from around the league though and maybe didn't want 3 Flames on the roster.

No way after last season Trouba is a better d-man right now.

Have to think that with two players already from the Flames he was always going to lose a close call.

Hamilton > Trouba.
I don't watch a lot of Winnipeg hockey, but they play a somewhat similar style, no? Trouba maybe a little bit more physically engaging, but Dougie is more offensive with better strength and positioning.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Canada adds: Burns, Muzzin, Pietrangelo (D). Duchene, Giroux, Marchand, Thornton (F).

No Giordano/Brodie

Brodie is better than at least half the defencemen named. Just nonsense.

Is Muzzin that much better than Gio or Brodie? I mean, he's good, but I'm not sure I take him over the Flames' pair.
Does he just fit the system better or something?

So we only have to worry about Johnny and Mony getting injured in this tournament?

Muzzin over Gio, Letang, etc is laughable and I really like Muzzin.
Muzzin is only there since he went to the worlds and the Flames d-men didn't.
Getzlaf shouldn't have been on the team after his season last year.
