Wouldn't mind Backes too if the term wasn't long. Would solidify the top line for the time being.

Hoping that the Blues win this series.
Want the Stars to have an easier road to the conference finals.

If you have Sportsnet, you should be able to watch the games on http://sportsnet.ca/now or through the Sportsnet Now app.
Obviously, that doesn't help now, but for the future.

They sure had the majority of chances, the shots were 35-18 in favour of the Blackhawks and 15-4 in the third period and overtime.

Whichever team wins will likely be the tougher team to beat. Not sure I follow your logic.

IDK the Blues were the 2nd best team on the ice tonight and they picked up a win...maybe they can fluke out the first round and then run out gas

Get your point, but I don't think they win this series unless they play to their potential, and if they do that they are a deadly team.
Also Chicago blew a lot of good power play chances as well.

Keith would have been a difference maker I think.
Will be interesting to see the impact once he's back.

Elliot stole this one...Desjardins should have buried his open side try in the 3rd...
Not impressed by the Blues offensive generation, and still only fear Tarasenko...and if the referees would actually call that trap block pick on zone entries, the Blues would NEVER even be able to control the puck going into the O-zone.
Lucky bounce was the difference...but, until a home team loses, this is an expected result.

Stars won season series 4-1 against the Hawks and was 1-4 against the Blues. Hawks might be the easier path.

Especially if the Stars deal with the Wild in short order and the Hawks have 5/6 bruising games like this one.

Remember how a bunch of people on here said that Hitchcock coaches boring hockey and thus should never be considered for a job with the Flames?
Those people are smart and cool and must watch lots of hockey.
