Why is there no penalty on that Hanzal trip on Ortio? It should be goalie interference or tripping.

Tyson Nash is basically a frat boy, and the Yotes are his bros.
He should be extremely thankful for Drew Remenda

Do the Flames have any examples of being able to develop top-6 forwards through the AHL system?
It sure seems like they've always been able to develop quality D-men, but struggle with skilled forwards.
Maybe Backlund but he's more of a shut-down guy?

"I like that. They're giving Joni Ortio something to think about."
Think about what? How is that even something to think about? He was in his crease. He SHOULD be safe. This broadcast is absolutely ridiculous...

Ugh I forgot about that damn howl. 2-3 times would be okay but man they play it an obnoxious amount of times. And their goal song ruined the black keys for me

Granted not all players, I'm betting very few, actually want to play for their hometown team. So who knows.

Yeah who knows. But you're right - it's very weird.

How big is Shinkaruk? looks small out there but isnt really playing "small". Seems to have good speed, if he plays with this kinda jump he'll be an NHLer.

Kulak looks steady, Shinkaruk has looked fast.
Haven't noticed Poirier much at all.

I'm betting a lot.
Constant family and friends asking for tickets, extra pressure as the hometown guy. If I was a hockey player I sure as hell wouldn't want to play for my hometown team. I'd want to go somewhere I could have my own life.
