I was at the game tonight and what shocked me was how many Calgary fans were in attendance. Several times, the chant of "Go Flames Go" was way louder than anything the Canuck fans could muster and that made me happy. But the abundance of Flames fans, while more than in previous years, and clearly not because of the Flames play this year, it must be because of the economy and that makes me sad. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm also about 6 pints and two bourbons in so who knows.

Click on the game you want, then videos in the tab that opens, then in the new tab if you scroll down click "full coverage" and the new page will have a video at the top.
Pretty ridiculous and not user-friendly.
Or else from www.nhl.com click on video at the top. Then you have options for individual highlights, or full game recaps at the bottom once they get updated.

We can lose every other game of the season and I wouldn't be upset, but for the love of God we still better beat the Canucks and Oilers. Tonight we did that, and as an added bonus watched Edmonton AND Toronto get spanked.
Excellent Hockey Day in Canada.

Another fun fact: Calgary is the worst draw in the league for opposing teams. In away games for Calgary, on average 90.6% of the arena is full - the worst mark in the league.
so what ur saying is that the panthers and coyotes and canes draw better than us lol.

They need a new colour scheme. Light blue, white, black and silver?
I've always thought their colors were great, although the current set are a step down from the mountain jerseys. It's the same with the Flames, good colors bad execution.
IMO, the A is one of the better logos in the league, and the best of the ones from 1990 forward.

So much of a team's road attendance is impacted by who they're playing. If you've played a lot of games in the high-attendance cities, you'll have high road attendance.
This season, there are 8 teams in the league with an average home attendance greater than 100% of capacity. The Flames have only played against 2 of them (Chicago and Winnipeg). There are 7 teams with an average home attendance below 90%. The Flames have already played against all of them.
They also played in Carolina directly opposite the NFC Championship game where the Panthers won their spot in the Super Bowl (the Flames-Canes game had an official attendance under 10,000). That game would have had low attendance regardless of who was playing against the Canes.
In the Flames remaining 16 road games, they play 8 against the 100%+ teams, and 2 against the below 90% teams. Their average is bound to rise just by showing up for those games.

Watching the game with my son , and he pointed the chant out, We both laughed hard (usually happens to us at home so...)
Commentators took no notice of it I think they we're talking about the go-pro segment for about 5 minutes and not even calling the play
