I don't think he'll ever get back to where he once was, but I think he's a guy that just really needs a change of scenery.

He's been living on his reputation for years now. Even so, I suspect some team will offer him 5 years @ $6m per, or somewhere in that range. Maybe even higher and/or longer.

PS. Got invited down to the Flames locker room after the game last night. Or rather as it turns out, to stand just outside it. Some of my party got the full tour, but I wasn't in the 'VIP' crowd

Guys like Stajan and Colborne were around outside the locker room, meeting fans, and Joe was doing his 'Heros' thing. Met with a military member and his little daughter. Say what you will about their play....guys have heart. Just played a full game, haven't had time to shower or anything, and they're out their meeting the fans, making us 'regulars' feel special.


Anyway, I did get to meet Gelinas. And Hartley, shook their hands, chatted with them for a bit.

Saw Burke and Treliving too, nodded to them but didn't bug them.

Gelinas/Hartley/Burke/Treliving....all looked seriously tired/down. Not sure if it's the pressure. Not sure if it's the Wideman stuff. Not sure if it was the owner? that just passed away. Burke in particular was hobbling around like an old man...didn't look good. (sweet tie around the neck untied though, signature!)

Saw Conny too. He was dressed to the nines, looking sharp. And surprise surprise he looked happy and smiling, his usual jovial self. Good ol'Conny.


PPS. Treliving is freaking tall!

PPPS. Saw Hamilton as we were entering the restricted area behind the zamboni. Looks like a kid in High School. So young. So young.

PPPPS. Kristen Hallet is seriously cute! Saw her going home after the media scrum.
