I recall a story from the mid-90s where they ranked the strongest player in the NHL. They made a stat where they combined leg press with bench press (or it may have been dead lift with bench press).

Jagr was #1 in the league for the combined stat. Really shocked me.

I don't recall who else was near the top except for a guy named Brent Severyn, who was more of a fighter.
