If Russell is in your top 4, you're going to bleed goals and chances.
He is simply a bottom pairing defender. He's Andrew Ference with less physicality.
It will be a mistake if Calgary re-signs him for anything more than bottom pairing salary and term.

If we want to move towards being a good possession team, Russell should not be re-signed. just not very good 
I believe we would be a better team(if only slighty) if Wideman and Russell were moved from the team.
